Business Step by Step is a series of practical business ebooks, playbooks, checklists, a KPI toolkit and workbooks, sold as PDF downloads. There are 73 products, covering management, marketing and sales, human resources, finance, project management and technology. Each one is there to do a simple job: give you a clear method for a piece of work in front of you, set out in steps you can follow.
How the books are built
Every ebook chapter follows the same pattern, so you always know where to look:
- key concepts, the ideas and terms you need first
- a step-by-step method, in numbered steps
- an illustrative example from a fictional UK organisation
- a ready-to-use tool, such as a table, template or diagram
- common mistakes, and how to avoid them
- key steps, a short recap to keep to hand
- a "Try it" exercise to apply the chapter to your own work
The playbooks are organised as plays you can run with a team. The checklists turn a subject into numbered points to tick, the KPI Toolkit sets out 60 KPIs with their formulas, and each workbook gives you 15 one-page templates, each with a worked example and a blank version to print.
Everything is written in British English and laid out as A4 PDFs that you can read on a phone, tablet or computer, or print. The examples use fictional organisations, so their figures are there to show how a method works, not to report real results. The titles are for general educational purposes and are not legal, financial, tax or professional advice.
