Everything in our shop is a digital download. Nothing is posted: you get your PDF files straight after payment. Here is how it works, from checkout to printing.
From checkout to download
- Choose your product. Add a single title, a pack or the upgrade to your cart and go to checkout.
- Tick the consent box. Before you pay, tick the box that says: "I want immediate access to the digital content and I understand that I lose my 14-day right to cancel once the download is available." This lets us make your files available straight away. Your statutory rights still apply if a file is faulty or not as described; see our refund policy.
- Pay. Pay by card or with a digital wallet where available, through Shopify's checkout. Our payment providers handle the payment, and we never see your full card details.
- Get your download links. Immediately after payment, the links appear on your order confirmation page and in your order confirmation email. If the email has not arrived, check your spam or junk folder.
- Save the files to your device. Download each file and save it somewhere you will find it again. Download links can stop working, so keep your own copy and, ideally, a backup in your cloud storage or on a USB stick.
Saving and unzipping on your device
If the file you downloaded ends in .pdf, it opens straight away. The packs and the upgrade come as one ZIP file, ending in .zip, which you need to unzip first. The packs are about 25 MB and 32 MB, so use Wi-Fi if you can, and make sure you have room for the ZIP and the unzipped files, which take up about as much space again.
iPhone and iPad
- Tap the download link, then tap Download if you are asked.
- Open the Files app and go to Downloads.
- Tap the ZIP file once. Files unzips it into a folder with the same name.
- Open the folder and tap a PDF to read it. To keep it in Books or another PDF app, tap the Share button and choose the app.
Android phone or tablet
- Tap the download link. The file is saved to your Downloads folder.
- Open your Files app (for example, Files by Google) and go to Downloads.
- Tap the ZIP file and choose Extract.
- Open the PDFs with the PDF reader on your device.
Windows computer
- Save the ZIP file, usually to your Downloads folder.
- Open File Explorer, right-click the ZIP file and choose Extract All.
- Choose where to put the files and click Extract. Work from the extracted folder rather than from inside the ZIP.
Mac
- Save the ZIP file, usually to your Downloads folder.
- Double-click it in Finder. macOS unzips it into a folder next to the ZIP.
- Move the folder to wherever you keep your documents.
Chromebook
- Open the Files app and double-click the ZIP file to open it.
- Select the folders inside and copy them to My files, so you keep them once the ZIP is closed.
Printing
- All the files are A4. In your print settings, choose A4 paper and "Actual size" (or 100% scale) so the pages print at the size they were designed for.
- If your printer uses a different paper size, choose "Fit to page" or "Shrink oversized pages" instead.
- You do not need to print a whole book. Use the Contents page to find what you want, then enter just those page numbers in the print settings.
- Each workbook has a template index at the back that gives the page of every blank template, so you can print only the blanks you need.
- To save ink, choose greyscale or black and white in your print settings.
- You may photocopy the workbook templates for your own use and within your own organisation. Everything else is licensed for your personal use only.
Lost a link or a file?
If a download link stops working, or you have lost your files or the order email, email support@businessstepbystep.co.uk with your order number and we will resend the link.
